Our Services

We are regulated and inspected by the CSCI,
- the Commission for Social Care Inspection,
which is now part of OFSTED
- the Office for Standards in Education,
Children’s services and Skills

Care

We provide a family environment within each of our schools and homes with familiar staff to establish continuity and minimise change and disruption. Our staff focus on the building and development of relationships as this is recognised as a key factor to success in supporting development and positive change in the behaviour of the young people in our care.

The health and welfare of each child is of paramount importance. Our duty to pupils, parents guardians and authorities is to ensure the care, protection and well-being of the young people placed within our facilities. In order to achieve this we:

Develop and follow carefully formulated care plans, behaviour guidelines and programmes which are continually reassessed and updated

Hold regular reviews

Welcome visits from family, carers and other key parties

Promote equal opportunities, child protection and a
   non-confrontational approach through our policies,
   procedures and guidelines

Consequently Horton Education & Care provides residential schools and homes with a warm caring environment in which pupils are able to acquire a broad and balanced range of knowledge and skills, to develop as individuals their personal qualities and lifestyle which in turn support pupils in overcoming their difficulties and effectively managing their behaviour.
