Overview

Horton Education & Care is registered by Ofsted under the Education Act 1981 and 1993 and the Children’s Homes Regulations.

It is our intention to provide and create a stable, safe and secure living and learning environment for young people aged 8-19 and to effectively manage a quality service of care and education. The young person should have a formal diagnosis of having a range of any of the following: educational, developmentally delayed, social, emotional, behavioural, cognitive and/or learning difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and complex needs.

We are committed to offering a structured, systematic holistic approach to education and care.

In addition, we aim to provide access to a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum; Providing an opportunity to participate in a range of social, recreational and leisure interests and comprehensive Leavers Programme, which includes Life Skills, Work Related Skills, Vocational Training, Work Experience, College Courses and Career Guidance.
